10- Night Disney Magic Transatlantic Cruise - Dover to New York City
We're back from our exciting "WBTA" (west-bound Transatlantic) sailing aboard the Disney Magic from Dover, England to NYC and we want to share our experience with you!
We flew to London Gatwick airport from Orlando and spent a few days exploring England before we boarded the ship. Here are a few of the videos we've created from this awesome trip as we explore before boarding the Disney Magic in Dover, England. Join us as we first land in London and explore Horley, England. Then come along with us as we see the iconic Stonehenge and explore the town of Salisbury. The day we boarded we spent a few hours exploring Dover Castle and the surrounding area. You won't believe the views!

Not only was this my family's first Disney Cruise, but it was also our first transatlantic cruise as well. Our transatlantic aboard the Disney Magic had a fantastic itinerary:

- Saturday - Day at Sea
- Sunday - Day at Sea

- Thursday - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
- Friday - Saint John, Nova Scotia, Canada
- Saturday - New York City, USA
How was our Disney Cruise experience?
Overall, we had an awesome time on our Disney Magic WBTA cruise from Dover to NYC. Our experience on board the cruise ship was exactly what you would expect from a Disney experience. The cast and crew members were fantastic, the serving staff at the restaurants was great and we had a magnificent experience with the crew members at Bippty Boppity Boutique especially.
The one thing that didn't go our way on this transatlantic trip was that both of our ports of call in Canada were canceled because of Hurricane Humberto. While not a major hurricane, Humberto (2019) did travel as far north as eastern Canada, forcing the Disney Magic to divert south to avoid the storm. This diversion took extra time and resulted in those ports being taken off the itinerary.
To add to the disappointment, Disney didn't really provide any concessions for the itinerary change. While we realize it wasn't Disney's "fault" for the change, they didn't even give us our port fees back. For being so well known for the guest experience, this was really quite surprising and disappointing to us.
