We all want better photos, but where do we start? We start with the basics of photography and work our way up. That's what we teach our kids, right? Get good at the basics first, then take on the fancy stuff. Our posts will start out with core photography topics and will get more specific and advanced as you progress.

We recommend you start at the beginning of the series and read the posts in order. But if you're already familiar with a topic, you can always skip ahead to one you're less familiar with.

This page will serve as the "hub" for the series. All new Dadtography 101, photography tips for parents posts will show up here as they are published, so be sure to check back often. You can also subscribe to Dadtography.com and be notified of new topics as well.

As a parent, I take thousands of photos. What's the secret to taking BETTER photos?

Dadtography ❤'s these photo editors.

When it comes to photography, I'm a fan. When it comes to photo editing? Not so much! Editing photos can be tedious, time-consuming and, let's face it, WORK.

We've been using Luminar, Aurora HDR and Photolemur for all of our photo editing now for a few years and we love the simplicity, power and complimentary features of these products!
