First, last week’s winner of the Selfie / Wefie weekly challenge, with a total of 86 Facebook & Twitter votes goes to the photo titled, “Smile“. Congratulations, you’re automatically one of our 7 finalist photos! We’re now into our second week of the Dadtography.com #SmarterShot photo challenge. This week’s challenge is to submit a candid photo of someone in your family.

Week 2 Challenge: Candid Photos of Family

Week 2 Challenge: Candid Photos of Family

I’ve always been a huge fan of candid photography – you catch your subject when their guard is down. The emotions, faces and expressions you can capture are authentic and in the moment. I’d like you to try and capture a candid shot of someone in your family – maybe even a candid shot they capture of you! Your shot can be deep and meaningful or simply funny or goofy – it’s up to you!

What do you think was going through their mind at the time? What was going through yours as you took the shot? Tell us something about the shot so we can experience it with you! As always, you can submit your weekly challenge photo and up to 10 photos total by visiting http://dadtography.com/share.

Be sure to share your photo on social media and encourage your friends to share as well. Social media shares are “votes” and the candid photo with the most “votes” at the end of the week will automatically be a challenge finalist!

Want to review the full challenge rules? You can visit the kick-off post here, with all the details. You can also download the overview guide (PDF), here.
