I don't know about you, but I for one love the increase in comic book character awareness I've seen lately. I used to read comics as a kid, and I always hoped my love to Super Heroes would eventually be shared with my children.
Sharing a love for comics and Super Heroes isn't just for dads and sons, though. We've seen some pretty awesome female characters rise up lately, and I truly think that's an awesome thing for our girls and for our boys!
My youngest started watching the new DC Super Hero Girls animated series by DC Entertainment on his tablet and I was watching over his shoulder for a bit. I have to say, I really dig this series!
However, if you're not into high-action, empowered Super Hero girls, dynamic characters and strong, fearless and even a little edgy characters, you may want to steer clear of this one. This series has something for everyone, as the stories take us through the group's journey of discovering the power of their unique abilities and friendships.
