I think it’s important to talk about stereotypes, given all that’s going on in the world today. Phrases like, “That’s a woman’s work.” and “All Muslims are dangerous terrorists.” are just not true. We're all so much bigger (and better) than the boxes people place us in. Click To Tweet
It’s up to us, as parents to teach our children to love and respect all people. Stereotyping only breeds discrimination and division, perpetuating the behaviors we see today. It’s okay to see people for who they are, and to form your own opinions. But just remember, your opinion of one person of a certain race, gender, religion or sexual orientation may not apply to everyone that shares those features.
Don’t stereotype others and don’t allow yourself to be stereotyped, either. We’re all so much bigger (and better) than the boxes people place us in.
